Making a difference

What Is Geeza Break?

Fire BrigadeGeeza Break is a voluntary organisation, based in the East of Glasgow, whose mission is:

‘to provide a unique respite service which supports, enables and empowers vulnerable families in the local community’

We aim to:-

  • Be the preferred service provider in the area of service delivery
  • Provide a home sitter service which promotes positive play and social skills
  • Provide a respite care service in a safe, nurturing family environment
  • Provide a family support service which is based on individual needs
  • Provide a centre-based respite service to families and positive play experiences for children
  • Work with partner agencies
  • Make best use of resources to develop and improve services

The respite services offered complement existing childcare resources, therefore cannot be offered as an alternative to other statutory or voluntary childcare services.

Our services are delivered within the local community, e.g. in your own home, at the home of a Respite Carer, or in one of the other childcare resources we work in partnership with.

This web site provides basic information about the services we provide, however we will always be happy to provide further information about our service and discuss your personal circumstances in confidence. Please call 0141-573-2900, or call in to our offices at Unit 15, Academy House, 1346 Shettleston Road (opposite Halfords), Glasgow G32 9AT.
